Identification of Diffracted Vortex Beams at Different Propagation Distances Using Deep Learning

The Orbital angular momentum (OAM) of light is regarded as a valuable resource in quantum technology, especially communication and sensing ranging. However, the OAM state susceptible to undesirable experimental conditions such propagation distance phase distortions, which hinders potential for realistic implementation relevant technologies. In this article, we exploit an enhanced deep learning neural network identify different modes at multiple distances with distortions. Specifically, our trained can efficiently vortex beam’s topological charge 97% accuracy. Our technique has important implications based protocols.
